Kee et al. (2016) have used single cell RNAseq to reconstruct neuronal trajectories developing in the mouse ventral diencephalic region. Developing neural progenitors and early postmitotic developing neurons that either express or do not express the developmental transcription factor Lmx1a have been isolated and sequenced.
